Brrrr!! - It is a freezing morning here, but gloriously sunny too, and I love the way the morning sun catches the sparkle of the frost on the ground.
I
never tire of the view from our field, over the roofs of the village in
one direction and across to the forest and open valley in the other.
I tried to sneak out to feed the horses on my own, but Ghetto and Gibson managed to follow and even brought Gibson's lead for me, so how could I refuse their company?!
The dogs had fun with the lead while I clicked away on my camera
A good start to my week? - yes, I'd say yes, definitely yes!

Love the buttercups in the yard. Glad to see pics of the horses and dogs. I've missed them being in the front yard photo. Thanks for a lovely start to a good, but sunshiny morning.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous views! I, too, love a good frost first thing in the morning. It's cleansing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!

ReplyDeleteLovely photos especially little mischievous Ghetto taking Gibson for a walk. We too woke up to thick frost this morning but by 10.0.am clear blue sky with a spell of warmth from the sun. Much appreciated after all our rain.
ReplyDeleteGhetto is too cute. He loves to be in the lead doesn't he?
ReplyDeleteThanks for a delightful peek of your beautiful French countryside on my 65th birthday! We are missing the predicted sunshine, thanks for sharing yours!
ReplyDeleteCathy from the hills of Idaho
loving the images.
ReplyDeleteNow that you have Ghetto trained to take Gibson for walks, feeding the horses should be easy, lol.

ReplyDeletesuch is life in your world...I adore it!
ReplyDeleteSo so happy to see the horse blanketed. I'm the type who would have worried about them all night. They look happy too, don't they? And, the dogs? Just think they could have been Argentina street dogs, but they ended up with you in doggie heaven. xx's
ReplyDeleteWe are covered in snow and -20 this morning as I went out to feed my equine friends...it was hard getting out of bed today!....Getting out, and into the cold is wondrous as you feel alive and part of a greater whole. Beautiful pic's:) Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteI'm lost now in a dreamy haze!
Your photos of the village set amongst the forest, misty and ethereal, are my favourites of all you show us. They are full of the very best kind of magic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...Sharon. I'm always glad to come and se what "My French Country Home" is doing today.

Love your photos and your doggies! Just had to ask, what do you feed them? I also have a Golden and yours is beautiful. Here in the US most people feed dry dog food, but I make homemade for our Belle. Just curious what you do and what the norm is in France. :)
ReplyDeleteFor example I feed my dogs with normal foods, just the way we eat. Dogs have more sensitive stomachs and absolutely do not give them the bones, which could seriously harm them. No mushrooms, potatoes and chocolate - do not tolerate it. Chicken broth with noodles and finely chopped carrots. Although I admit that my Duke loves cooked broccoli, carrots and spinach lasagna: D
DeleteMultivitamins are important. Just one tablet per month (from the vet). If only dry food is Royal Canin Veterinary or Eukanuba.
*not harm but hurt :/
DeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful pictures and the glimpse into your wonderful life. I look forward to your pictures for inspiration and simply dreaming...
ReplyDeletedogs rules :D
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of dogs. They remember me my Diuk (golden) and Pusia (papillon) wo are the best team ever. I can not wait this summer to they meet again and be happiest ever :)))))

ReplyDeleteHi Sharon,
ReplyDeleteNot having a great day. Merely bogged down with office work for the business. And have been skivving off doing a catch up of your posts.
Ahhh ..... I remember this lovely scene and the wonderful feeling that you have driving up the road and discovering the wide open space and the views in all directions.
Thanks for this, can't be there right now but it's what I needed to get going in my day~!
