I was up in Paris today for meetings and taking pictures of a 'stylish girlfriend' that I'll be introducing you to next week. On my way to meet her, I had intended taking zillions of pictures of Paris but Oh My Goodness was it cold! So all my good photographic intentions were forgotten as I hunted around desperately for a hot chocolate to warm me in between appointments!
So here are a few of a moment in my day, Place des Vosges in the Marais, and also of my favourite umbrella and glove shop in the world, on boulevard st germain.!
Thank you for reading me!

Place des Vosges is my favourite place in Paris. Thank you for the lovely picture!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain Sharon! It's the equivalent of -21 degrees Celsius here in Ontario and has been for the past week or so. At least the sun is out! Hard to believe that just a few months ago it was so hot and humid....I don't think that I will thaw out until July :)
ReplyDeletei love these, sharon. can't wait to get back to the marais.
ReplyDeletesmiles to you.

I like that umbrella and glove display, and stay warm friend. My hubby and I spent a Christmas in Paris years ago so enjoy seeing your photos here.
ReplyDeletePlace des Vosges is one of my favorites in all of Paris, and I love the shops in that area so much. Now, St.Germain is in a whole different league isn't it? Did you know my son attended college at Parsons in Paris for 3 years? Now, please tell me how to get Coty's clickable icon on my sidebar, somehow I can't get it to work and I really want to do this for her. Big props to you for including her, Sharon...makes me love you more :)'s
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to read about your next interesting girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteThey really are great posts!!
No matter the weather your photos are always sublime.
Ahhh, it looks refreshing from my viewpoint. Buenos Aires is having a very hot summer. I could do with a little snow :)
ReplyDeleteI have so many happy memories of the Place des Vosges !
Super!
ReplyDeleteInspiring.
What beautiful window dressing in the store!

Beautiful pictures ! Yes, winter is not my favorite season, maybe that is why I live in Florida, but I think winter is charming....from the window of a very warm room :o)
ReplyDeleteSending lots of warm thoughts....
It looks cold! Not one person out and about. Hope you went to Angelina's for an amazing cup of hot chocolate. '-)
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous umbrellas and gloves!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to write, "I was up in Paris for the day". I only visited Paris once and I so want to go back.
ReplyDeleteI can get warm real quickly in your umbrella and glove shop in Paris. Love the pair of tan/orange color gloves and umbrella. Living in ski country, snow is a great commodity but after the freezing rain we had this morning, sand and sea will be a welcome change.
ReplyDeleteSo cold... Sharon... I know what you mean about 'too cold for the camera'... I had great plans for many photographs yesterday... not a one... :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend... xv
That umbrella and glove shop looks cozy inside.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I am freezing down here in Arles, I can only imagine how c-c-cooold it must be up north!!! Stay bundled up please and have a wonderful weekend...
ReplyDeleteIt does look awfully cold...like here, its freeeeezing. Finally are due to get a little snow, if we have to suffer with the cold, might as well bring on the white stuff! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't care if it was raining dogs! I WOULD BE IN PARIS!!!!! I live in new Brunswick Canada, this week, with the wind chill it was -40c.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs Sharon, and they brought back very happy memories of this last summer when my husband and I celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary is Paris. Place des Vosges in the Marais is one of my favourite parts of Paris, and we had a very spoiling short stay in the beautiful Hotel Pavillon de la Reign. I too found and took photographs of the stunning umbrella and glove shop in Boulevarde St. Germain........which I agree, has to be the most beautiful in the world. Thank you for bringing back lovely memories of a romantic and special visit to Paris.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos you always have. It is raining in LA but about 60 degrees which is cold during the day. xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
ReplyDeleteParis is very romantic and beautiful. I think it is quit beautiful with snow, how does it feel when your city covered by snow? I do not know since I live in tropic country and never been abroad yet.
ReplyDeleteSo cold but so beautiful. I'm jelous.
