"my shabby chic bouquet" ..... I'm afraid that is just me trying to prepare you for the fact that all my poor roses have taken such a battering this week with the continuing rain, that the white bouquet I had promised has proved harder to put together than I thought.
After a very wet walk in the forest this morning, in which Gibson tried on all the muddiest puddles for size, I got home and picked what I could from the garden before the rain came down again.
Here are my shots to get your weekend off to a shabby chic and flowery start. Thank you for reading me this week, I hope you have something good planned for the weekend.

This is very beautiful - and often we need to use our wits to turn a bad situation into a good one. Our araden is very wet as well. x
ReplyDeleteThis arrangement is wonderful - so stylish in a casual way - just the way I like sprays of flowers. Thank goodness Gibson loves the wet, what a good time he must have had.
ReplyDeleteEven with the rain, your flowers and photographs are still stunning. Hope all is dry soon.

A very beautiful arrangement. Thanks for going out in the mud to put it together. I do love the way you display your flowers. Thanks for the pretty start to the weekend.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks prettier in France!!:) Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of Gibson. Sure it's a very good dog! Happy weekend from Spain.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. I don't think there is anything more beautiful than a bouquet of garden flowers. Have a wonderful weekend, Phyllis
ReplyDeleteque lindas flores, sempre faço buquê das flores do jardim também, da vida ao lar.
ReplyDeleteYou had such a grace to put together all that beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteThey seems much more beautiful all together...
Silvia
Breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteYou have just proven that out of every drop of rain there comes a rainbow. The bouquet is so delicate and romantic.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend.
The bouquet is charming and I love the styling of your images.
ReplyDeleteWarm regards
Really beautiful - love the bouquet the way it is. We're remodeling and moving into a new home. Consuming all of my time at the moment, but I enjoy it. Have a good weekend too.
ReplyDeleteStunning. I love baskets overflowing with flowers and the watering can is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe had a historical high rainy spring last year but this year nearly none. I would happily share our sun for someof your rain this time.
Last year it actually rained EVERY SINGLE DAY for 6 straight weeks in a row. We had 2 days of partial sun and then more rain, no ones garden did ok.
Take care - sunny days are coming, I am sure!
It may be shabby but I think it is gorgeous! I wish I had the skill you have in putting floral arrangements together. While you are getting your share of rain in France, we could use some in Texas. It's usually very dry in Texas in the summer months and extremely hot. How about we share...I'll send you some sun if you send me some rain! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You have inspired me to go out and gather some of my poor roses (very wet and windy here in Wild West Wales as well), although I know they won't look as gorgeous as your display!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you (and Gibson) made the most of a rainy day. Our roses have taken a terrible beating, too, in this wet June. It makes me so sad to see the poor darlings drooping and wet. But your bouquet is just gorgeous and would brighten any gray weekend. Hope the sun shines through for you at some point! XO
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful flowers...it seems that the rain is quite frequent in most of Europe (hearing from other blogs)....I don't think I would mind a bit cooler day as it will be 100 degrees here in Califonia today.....Anyhow, I wish you a lovely day =) Xo, Ashley
ReplyDeleteTotally gorgeous SHaron... happy weekend... xv
ReplyDeleteOnce again....more stunning photos...wow!!! Yes, a perfect way to begin the week end......Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSharon, your arrangement is absolutely breathtaking! I've printed it up and it is keeping your beautiful blue/lavender/white bouquet from an earlier post company on my wall. Have you ever thought of making up note cards from your photography? If you ever do, put me in for several dozen! Hoping your weekend is brighter, Cynthia
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely

Lovely vignette...pretty bouquet of flowers in that wonderful rustic basket, add the charms of that old watering can and the overall effect is quite beautiful. Love it whenever you post pictures of Gibson. I have a big soft spot for dogs and horses. Your handsome Gibson makes me smile.

Complimenti questo bouquet è semplicemente meraviglioso, romanticissimo! ti abbraccio Sara
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures of Gibson and your very rustic gorgeous arrangement - it has brought a smile to my face when we are in the depths of a very cold minus 10 freezing frosty day here in the High Country of the South Island (nz)!!!! Love reading your blog - Julia
ReplyDeleteShabby? No way.....spectacularly beautiful..yes!! LOVE it! Its pretty enough to inspire a painting Sharon! Your arrangments are always so dreamy, do you have a background in floral design or is it a talent you were born with? I am in awe!
ReplyDeleteTon bouquet est très joli! J'adore les fleurs!
ReplyDeleteBonne soirée!
Monique
Those flowers are just devine. I couldn't even notice the roses were battered. And such a cute piccie of Gibson.
ReplyDeleteLove your shabby chic bouquet Sharon...absolutely beautiful. You have a wonderful gift and it shows in everything you do. As for Gibson...would love to know how you tackled the muddy paws before coming in the house. WIth all the rain here..Tika has been having a ball splashing through it all. My solution is to put her in the pool. :)
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Sharon and many thanks for the lovely comments you passed my way.
