It's another hot day here today, well hot by our standards at least, I guess we'll get to 80-85° by this afternoon. There was a heat mist in the garden early this morning, which made everything look rather special.
The best time to walk is early, and this morning, as soon as the children left for school at 8, I was off in the forest for an hour or so with a couple of girlfriends and their dogs.

I'm not sure there is a better way to start the day, than a brisk walk, laughing and chatting with friends who all have busy days ahead. Back down from the forest, pause to admire the view, then a peck on the cheek and its back to business.
Hope you manage to take an hour out from your routine today!

I would trade places with you in a heartbeat today. How much more beautiful could it get?
ReplyDeletesuch peaceful abounding beauty

Thanks for taking us along on your morning walk. You live in such a beautiful part of the world! I'm about to head out the door to start my day with a stroll while the sun peaks through the clouds and gray.
ReplyDeleteI'm envious! Today here was ravishing +7 C, and a storm in addition. Monthly dosage of rain in past 24 h, so... I'm envious to anybody mentioning heat. :D Plus the view to die for!
ReplyDeleteOh! This last picture took my breath away!

ReplyDeleteLove morning walks. I do the same, but on pavement, not a path in the woods. That looks lovely!

I miss having a dog and the extra little things it brings like this. Those early morning forest walks always left me feeling that I was in such priviledged position to catch nature whilst the rest of the world slept. Love your photos of the garden, the forest and the spectacular view.

I love that photo with the foxgloves and that wonderful old building - a barn? On hot days it's great to have woodland to walk in where it's cooler and shady. I do my early morning walks with the dog on the moors but quite a lot of it is through wooded areas as well.
ReplyDeleteC'est parfait......!!!
