One of my favourite towns in Normandy is Lyons La Forêt. Surrounded by beautiful green countryside and forest, the town centre is small and unspoilt.
A great place to drive to for lunch, a little brocante shopping. A place to wander and soak in the atmosphere.
My favourite spot for lunch? In the winter the Grand Cerf Hotel
and in the summer, the garden of La Licorne
after lunch a little brocante shopping
and some goodies from the farm shop
My idea of a happy day!

The antique store would be my favorite go-to place for inspiration. Thank you for the tour.

ReplyDeletePicture postcard perfect. Bon weekend.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to the Grand Cerf Hotel ...the birch trees and low chairs on the red tile floor just have me spinning ...oh how surreal...(:
ReplyDeleteHa, I have been there many a time - there is also a lovely walk that starts in the town and takes in the beautiful woodland that gives it its name. Plenty of time to have lunch before hand or stop in a cafe for a hot chocolate afterwards (or wine depending how you are feeling at the time!)
