With the arrival of spring many of us emerge from our winter hibernation and enjoy entertaining friends and family again. The time of year when we long for spring flowers, pastel colours. I love the way the season delivers a license for creativity, permission to decorate tables with style, to add flowers to dishes ... to have FUN!
Here are some ideas to inspire you for your Easter and spring entertaining - enjoy !
This week I have received some really amazing comments - thank you, your generosity is overwhelming. Without you this blog would be nothing.

Gorgeous images!!
ReplyDeleteRecently, Husband and I have gotten away from eating dinner at table. This has inspired me to return. Dining should be an experience not a grab and run event. Thank you for reminding me!
ReplyDeleteall wonderfully feminine...I love that...
ReplyDeleteI especially like the pastry detailing - that really does make all the difference when presenting a special meal...
xo+blessings,

That pastry is amazing...I shall try!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous inspiration for spring entertaining! I love hosting friends this time of year - all the flowers make for a gorgeous table, and the spring ingredients - morel mushrooms and fresh asparagus should be arriving anytime - make for wonderful dishes to serve. Hope you are planning something lovely for Easter!
ReplyDeleteWell, Sharon....you deserve to be receiving comments that are "amazing"....heartfelt, sincere, etcetera.
ReplyDeleteRather obviously, yours is one of the few "French" blogs (personally, I get VERY tired of these silly folks exclaiming "I love ALL THINGS FRENCH!!!!") that somehow(and without any sense of affectation or effort)manages to speak to a great number of readers.
Quite frankly (and I began reading and looking at your blog only about a year ago)....I'm always reminded, by your writings and over-all sensibility, of Senator Langhorne's comment in 1920 or so...."Etiquette is for people who do not have manners, just as Fashion is for those who do not have Style".
Basically?....you have a very wonderful and satisfying blog.
As far as I can tell, your sensibilities and tastes are damn-near perfect and completely sincere....no affectation...just a very open sensibility....and you DO have a very good eye (so to speak).
You really do need to get yourself a book-deal someday. I doubt that would be hard, and I'd be certain to buy the book if it reflected what you write and photograph for your blog.
Above all, your blog seems extraordinarily honest and straightforward. And, yes, it's quite lovely to look at....but that's easy to do. What distinguishes your blog is your obvious sincerity.
Quite sincerely,
David Terry

Beautiful images. The first one is my favorite. The flowers combined with the lettuce and radishes make for a gorgeous centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteI feel like we should raise our glasses of (French) champagne with David Terry's comment and say CHEERS to Sharon. Once again a lovely post today, love the backsplash in the sink pic. It's those details that make such a huge difference. ~Jen
ReplyDeleteI adore the photo of the wooden bench with all the cushions on it. I want to be there sitting and sipping in that garden. I wish spring would hurry up and come in Vancouver.
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon! Some Easter decorating inspiration is exactly what I have been looking for for the last several days...something classy and...today's post is exactly what I was looking for! Merci!!!! I adore looking at your blog everyday!! It gives me a sense of calm in this crazy, hectic world! Please don't ever stop blogging as I would be so disappointed!:))
ReplyDeleteI am duly inspired, Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAnd you deserve all the praise in the world... you and your blog are a gift, pure and simple!
Lots of Love,
Terri

ReplyDeleteSharon,
ReplyDeleteThat was just the ticket to motivate me to do some planning...the pastry art was amazing and I loved the edible flowers in the salad, I always forget to do that and yet am always thrilled when they are in salad that I am served. I'll save all of these images and refer back to them once the weather warms just a little bit.
Happy Wednesday,
Karen
