very interesting.......I went to Pondicherry in south india in jan for a holiday..and there i saw similar architecture....if you dont know, pondicherry was one of few places in india under french colonial rule, till 1940's...and they have left a great architectural impact on this place...
I LOVE EUROPEAN ARCHITECTURE - so much character and aged so beautifully. Thank you so much for giving me a little taste with my morning coffee! Hope you have a marvelous weekend. -Jalon
Great photos. I think I would have known you were in Southern France even if you had not mentioned the location at the beginning of your post ;-) Looking forward to more. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Love your pictures...reminds me of time spent in Nice and one in particular reminds me of sites seen during a trip to Monaco...good memories! Hope you are having a relaxing trip!
We love our old French house. It's a joy to entertain here, to fill the house with family and friends. Good food, beautiful countryside, bits and pieces found in local brocantes, children, dogs, horses, all this in a deep green valley in the heart of Normandy.

ReplyDeleteThat particular shade of blue shutters is both striking and soft. I love the ornate ironwork, too. Pictures to sigh over.
