A stunning start to the day today, with bright sunshine and a heavy frost. I left the breakfast table, grabbed my camera and snapped a couple of shots of the box bushes along the driveway.
What a wonderful plant this is, slow growing maybe but so dense and regular in it's shape and foliage. I love the way the frost creates a little white halo around each leaf.

On the lawn the frost was heavy too and the daffodils are beginning to wonder if it was such a smart idea to push their way through the grass so soon! Spring must be on it's way!!

ohhh, comment merveilleux

It would be fun to show you our boxwood today also but, alas, all you would see is a snow mound. We went half way into January with only 1 small snowfall (heaven), but winter has fully arrived now.

beautiful! I just read your post? on how you came to live in France. What a wonderful story! I lived in Montpellier for a year during college. And I had friends in Tubingen. Actually spent my 21st bday there. Thank you for sharing that. I loved reading it!

Such beautiful pictures, I like the close up of the ice crystals around each leaf. Mother Nature is the all time best decorator.

great photos. We had frost like this last week and I ran from my breakfast also to take photos.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! And I am in awe of daffs already arriving. We haven't even had a real winter storm yet...unless you count the one we had in October!
