a weekend château

An autumn weekend in view,  guests leaving today, dinners with friends, procrastinating about the garden, and maybe - to inspire myself  -  a visit to a nearby château, whose potager makes me feel faint in admiration!

  7. Actually, I think that would be my second choice for my French home. But only if I could have a staff to tend to it!

My first choice would be this cozy little cottage... but with the same grounds ;]

  8. I feel inspired by this garden too! Just delightful as is the chateau. You seem to have "so much on the go" at once.........I find that gardens can quieten a busy mind and soothe the soul as well as act as a muse.
I hope you are able to have a relaxing weekend. Warm wishes.

  9. So stunning! I just found your blog and I adore it! I lived in Fontainebleau France for 3 months this past year and as an interior designer I think there is no place more beautiful on earth than France! Enjoy your weekend!

  14. I wish, wish, wish my garden looked like that. But it doesn't. So I'll be distracting myself by gazing at the amazing fall colors of the leaves here in Southern Minnesota.

While I play my harp at the very last outdoor wedding of the year.

Oh my, how much I would love to stroll those gardens. Their veggie garden is incredible too. And all the roses... Wish we had any of that here in the USA!
