Not normally a turquoise sort of girl, I was at a friend's house this weekend, and admired her subtle use of the colour, just here and there - a chair, a door, cushions.....
So I may have to revise my opinion - what do you think? total turquoise? splashes of blue? or stick to the neutrals?!
Please don't forget that you can win a great Shabby Apple dress this week, my giveaway is running until Friday midnight, Paris time !!
PS A big thank you to Debra at 5th and State for talking about her visit here, pop over and say hello from me.

I am not a turquoise person myself but I have enjoyed this picture of the terrace with its vibrant colours. What has really caught my eye, however, is the giant teacup filled with beautiful blue flowers. This is definitely something for me.

I like those colour splashes so much.

Turquoise for sure love the pics.
ReplyDeleteWell. I love the way you've decorated your house (from what I've seen on your blog of course). I think neutrals with splashes of color are a great way to decorate. Great pics, BTW.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree. Touches of a vibrant colour (no matter what it is) are great. It would be ghastly should the whole thing be this way. Neutrals are brought out by a bit of brilliance. Very nice!
ReplyDeletej'aime bcp la première photo.....

I'm not a blue person at all, but I have loved all the touches of turquoise I've seen since the summer. It's just such a bright color.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! I have really fallen in love with turquoise this year, but I prefer touches of it here & there - I think it is more special that way and way less overwhelming!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos you've shown...
A wee bit, here or there.
ReplyDeleteNever hurts.
I think you should do what makes you happy and do it with gusto. You only live once, and it's only paint. If you don't like it, paint it back - you get an instant redo, as if the blue never existed. Don't you wish everything had that easy of a redo? hehe.
ReplyDeleteHappy week ahead!

We live in total neutrals with the slightest splashes of color that can be easily removed as in cushions, flowers, throws, objects, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a turquoise girl either, but you make it seem verrrrry appealing.
BTW, of course you can (hmmm. . .) "work" with your picture. Obviously everyone else featured did.
A demain, cherie.
xoxo,

Isn't turquoise the world-wide color everyone looks good in...maybe that applies to homes too. I love it when I see it but can't figure out how to integrate into my color scheme.

Turquoise isn't one of my colours either, but it was Pantone's top choice last year wasn't it? Or was that the year before. I bought a scarf to wear. I think of it as a 'seaside' colour, but although I do live at the coast, it's not warm, so I don't think it works that well for me. I posted about a village called Portmeirion that had some amazing uses for turquoise and you might enjoy that.
