I ♥ bunting, I can't help it, it must be my British blood. Give me a green lawn, a village fĂȘte, a summer party any day, but preferably give them to me dressed with bunting.
I love patriotic bunting, flowery bunting, stripes and checks. I prefer cotton, but like paper too.
Imagine how pleased I was this week, when I stopped by at Bords de Scene, and found that Christelle had changed her shop decor ( again!) and invented a whole new approach to bunting - black and white! Her flags are cut from old sewing patterns - I am lucky to know creative girls like her!
so where does your preference lie?
summer colours against a blue sky, or chic french monochrome?!

Against the black backdrop - the neutral bunting is striking - outdoors - give me color!

I agree with Kathy...Love some color outdoor!
ReplyDeleteI like coloured bunting for outdoors but was thinking of making some for indoors with some old sheet music I have stashed away. Now I've seen this I will get cracking!
ReplyDeleteDefinitly colour, bunting has to be gay and to scream happyness!
ReplyDeleteI love your bunting, I seem to be hooked on Enamelware!
ReplyDeleteOh la la! I must be Franglais, I love colour, however the last bunting that I made was from black & white mattress ticking ! Chic - moi??

Hmm, I'm out of the loop! Bunting is new to me! I enjoyed your colorful pennants on the lawn! I don't understand the occasion, we don't go to that effort here in America. Looks adorable!
ReplyDeleteColourful under the sun, but black and white certainly looks very appealing. I'm wondering what I could cut up and use. Don't suppose my DH would mind if I cut up his newspaper.... before he read it?
ReplyDeleteI love all bunting...but that black and white is very smart......happy Sunday Sharon, xv.
ReplyDeleteboth in their own place.....smiles.
ReplyDeleteI just love bunting too. I like both styles and would use it depending on the style of function. I loved your story on the teenage parties. Im with you on your thinking and used to do the same myself.Fiona
ReplyDeleteDefinitely colour! A couple of friends of mine make bunting, one of them uses bright coloured fabric, the other uses vintage tea towels!
