Last minute invite to lunch with a girlfriend, no time to get to the florists, nothing to hand to gift. Shot out to the garden, for the first of the daffodils to open. Two dozen daffs, a few strands of small leaved ivy and a handful of that plant whose name I can't remember but who's kind enough to grow in the right shape to circle a posy. Et voilà

a posey cannot come from the florist! remember thats how Willhoby beat out the colonel for sweet marianne's affection. LOL. I have great success with my bouquets at the farmers market because you cannot buy what I offer. these are blooms to be nurtured and natured.
