spring posy for a friend
Last minute invite to lunch with a girlfriend, no time to get to the florists, nothing to hand to gift. Shot out to the garden, for the first of the daffodils to open. a posey cannot come from the florist! remember thats how Willhoby beat out the colonel for sweet marianne's affection. LOL. I have great success with my bouquets at the farmers market because you cannot buy what I offer. these are blooms to be nurtured and natured.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your tangle of forms and color...the haphazard sweetness of it. Lucky friend!
Love it! It's so much more personal.. and beautiful, to have a hand picked arrangement from a friend's garden. The plant, whose name you've forgotten is gorgeous. If you remember the name, please post it as I'd love to know.
ReplyDeleteSo fresh and green. What a lovely arrangement. You certainly have an eye for flowers.
ReplyDeleteI've been away working and just catching up on things. Love what you did with the bed and I can't wait to see what you're doing with the cottage bedroom. BTW, it's still snowing outside my office window.
I wondererd Lonely as a cloud that floats on high or val and hill... then my heart with pleasure fills and dances with the daffodils.. Wordworth.
ReplyDeleteA very thoughtful gift for your friend... I love it when I get unexpected flowers. Nothing better! Lx
