Some of you have been kind enough to say you like my header picture of our home in the snow, and even to ask to see some more. It's unusual to have so much snow here so I have been snapping away - we're loving it.
The lights in our drive looks so much prettier when
they're almost covered in snow- even in the dark
they're almost covered in snow- even in the dark
gates to the potager
These two shots were taken in the garden
of the (abandoned) house next door.
It breaks my heart that no one lives here so now and
again I climb the garden wall and wander round

Greetings Sharon,
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of your home and grounds in France are magic.

Your home looks picture book perfect. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThose photos look quite magical from the other hemisphere where we are in full summer, although somewhat cooler than usual. Must be the La Nina, causing the extremes. Looks like you will be having a white Christmas, how wonderful. The best of Seasons Greetings to you.
ReplyDeleteMargaret
Looks so pretty! Snow is just so pretty but I have never seen it.Maybe one day I can come to France when it is snowing. Fiona

ReplyDeleteThe snow and the lights shining in your beautiful home - a picture to make me breathe a deep sigh of appreciation.
ReplyDeleteJoyeux Noel.
Sharon: The "picture perfect" shot of your home from the road, could not be more beautiful. Thanks for sharing the French snowfall once again. What fun it would be to own the house next door.............I'd still let you climb the fence!!!
ReplyDeleteA very, very Merry Christmas.
So beautiful - is it too evil to feel envy at Christmas time? Your home is just story book perfect. Hope your Christmas is equally as story book perfect.
ReplyDeleteKatie
Breathtaking Merry Christmas Sharon :)
ReplyDeleteYour home looks warm and inviting. We would love to live in your little corner of the world, although ours is pretty nice, too.

Sharon, please do not post more pics of your home under the snow or I will not answer for my actions!!
ReplyDeleteI could be right at your door knocking to come in and have a hot chocolate with you!
Your home unders the snow is like a Fairytale.
I LOVE IT.

Your home is so beautiful. I used to dream of having a house exactly like this in France. Now, my home is in Italy but I still sometimes dream of having a home in France (and in Scotland, and in Australia.........)
ReplyDeleteKeep cosy x x
Sharon your images are glorious! Although they will back up MOTH's theory that we are about to enter a new Ice Age. We had our fire going again last night, & it's Summer here in Australia!! It's normally 30-35C. & I should be wandering around in shorts & flip-flops, not jumpers & wooly socks.
ReplyDeleteMillie ^_^
Enchanting pictures, Sharon. Magic. However, all this dumb snow (excuse me...beautiful, enveloping blanket of purity) is preventing me from getting home for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSo romantic and amazing!! I just love every pictures!! And I'm from country, where is snow so ordinary and this year we have new snowrecord - from Estonia. Hugs and merry white Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSharon,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by!!
Oh my goodness it is such a long time ago since I visited you!! Please forgive me! I have no much time to read blogs but I promise I come back!
Sharon your home is as in a fairy tale!!! Just gorgeous! I could look over and over again to all your pictures and your header is just exellent!
Wish you ane your family a warm and merry Christmas!!

Greet
We should meet once! Because we don't live so far from each other!
lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteYour home looks beautiful covered in snoq Sharon. It's snowing here right now and I love it.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are dreamlike, do you take them at dusk? I want to try to take a few of my house in that light. Also, you mentioned the vacant house next door . . .why is it empty? (I apologize if you have already mentioned why in an earlier post).
ReplyDeleteIt's very cold here in the Mid-Alantic US, forcast is for a white Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and yours Sharon!
Sharon the pictures of your house and grounds are simply Magical.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures you took pick the essence of Christmas and makes me
Think of that song by Irving Berlin.
Im dreaming of a White Christmas,
Just like the ones I used to know,
Where the tree tops glisten and children
Listen to hear sleigh bells in the snow.....
Beautiful! I so enjoy your posts, they are so restful and a glimpse into another life. I do realize that taking care of such a large property is a LOT of work and applaud you and your family for sharing this wonderful home with so many. May you and yours have a Blessed Christmas Season.
ReplyDeleteI can't take it! Your home in the snow looks like a winter wonderland. Absolutely, incredibly beautiful. I could just stare at the images for hours!
ReplyDeleteI know you have received a lot of snow. My son got stranded in Italy because of it. It's beautiful, but causes so much havoc with the transportation, especially at Christmas time.
Merry Christmas! ~Delores
Wow Sharon , so beautiful, I can dream of "my" little cottage in the snow...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
Hugs
Erna
Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing these lovely lovely images.
ReplyDeleteSharon, those photos are stunning. I especially love the one of the little gate but they're all magical.
ReplyDeleteI know the snow is unusual and is causing major travel issues, but to see those pictures I think it is worth the trouble. All you need is the horse and sleigh. An abandoned house next door...wow I could move in!
