I love the color. It's such a nice change from the (overdone) American green and red. My house doesn't do either green or red well, but without much inspiration I moved to burgundy and gold. This is so much nicer. May have to throw it all away and start over for next year! Thanks for the idea.
What a beautiful peek into the French Christmas-thank you! I've been reading your blog for months now, and realized I haven't yet officially followed. Your blog is beautiful and inspiring!
OOOOhh so beautiful! I so much love the soothing colors. I would never want to take anything down. Thank You for sharing and your header is so pretty. Merry Christmas, Betsy
Indeed, elegant and calm! That's the way it should be; a safe haven for family to linger and always pleasing to the eye. Not too loud or clashing colours but soothing; even when one has a headache! A perfect NEST! C'est moi; I'm all for French Country Style and Brocante...
Your French Country Home inspires me to write my own blog from Texas. Even though I live in Texas, I love all things French and try to incorporate French-inspired decorating into my house and my small home and garden shop. Thank you for sharing such beautiful images.
That's exactly how we do it; a lot of muted colors. I think it brings a certain reverence of the Christmas season in our home. There's still plenty of laughter and noise from 5 kids but when we sit together at night and gaze upon our small space, all decorated for Christmas, it really is calming. We need that so badly right now. U.S. hearts are heavy.

Welcome to my French country home.
We love our old French house. It's a joy to entertain here, to fill the house with family and friends. Good food, beautiful countryside, bits and pieces found in local brocantes, children, dogs, horses, all this in a deep green valley in the heart of Normandy.
All material on this blog is mine unless stated otherwise. If you'd like to use or publish anything you find here, please contact me, credit My French Country Home and kindly link back to this blog. Thank you!
