Gone are the days when milk in France was delivered or sold in these lovely heavy milk bottles. I'm so pleased to have found a few for my brocante.
Love the thick glass, the pretty writing and the reflection of sunlight through the bottle. Up for sale today, but I don't have that many! First come , first served!

When I was little, we received our milk in glass jugs, but they were not pretty like those are! Ours were just utilitarian.
ReplyDeleteSo, Sharon, when you go to the brocantes, do you have to arrive at 6am to get the best items?

The bottles remind me of simpler times. They would look beautiful grouped together. I'll have to put them on my wish list!

When I was little, the milk was delivered in bottles just like those in your post.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have one or two.
Hugs.

I love these bottles! Am in the process of decorating my kitchen and I would love one on my window sill. Will have to save my pennies! Have also been looking at your 'brocante'. So many lovely things :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a good day, Sarah

What lovely vases these would make!
ReplyDeleteI Loved having milk delivered and set in our little Milk Box on the front porch. Pints of fresh cream and half gallon jugs of fresh milk in REAL glass bottles! Wow, those were the days. I'm glad for the memory.I wouldn't mind having one or two of those charming bottles.
