flowers around my home

I love to have fresh flowers around my home.  At this time of year, there's never any need to go to the florist, just a pair of secateurs and a quick tour of the garden, grab a vase and I'm in business!   Recently, however,  I found myself in a bit of a rut.  A rose-filled sweet smelling rut I grant you, but a rut nevertheless.

I've been hunting around on the net for some ideas for arranging my flowers differently, more -  dare I say it  - fashionably !!  I came across the site of Sia,  a Spanish homeware company, whose products  I'm already familiar with their products, they are sold here in France.   I love these pictures of tight bouquets, packed tightly into sweet compact vases.    They often use just one variety of flower, roses for example, and it gives a beautiful and elegant understated effect.

Now I just have to practice!.

I agree, I grow some and it is so fun to pick them and arrange them...makes my day to have an
    arrangement of my own blooms!

  2. I like the idea of all the same flowers and how they are packed tight in the vase. It has a nice, charming look to it. Thank you for sharing!!

  3. Sharon~ I love fresh flowers around my home all year long, but it's somehow easier right now. I recently purchased two big bundles and just kept changing the water and trimming stems-they lasted two weeks. I love a nice tight bunch of flowers all together- and I can even adore a pickle jar filled with Cosmos! I'm sure you have the sweetest arrangements! They just make me smile when I enter a room!

  5. What gorgeous bunches!! I love having flowers inside the house but the wood heater is the death of them at the moment. I am looking forward to planting some new roses for this coming spring :)

I'm with you here! there's nothing like fresh flowers to instantly brighten-up the house.. sometimes I cheat though..yes! I bought some fakes from SIA ,they look like the real thing-almost- and do not require water changes :-)
well, I do not have a gorgeous garden like you do!
    Have a lovely weekend!
    xx Flaviana
